Confession time. I am TERRIBLE at making cookies. Maybe it’s because I don’t have patience. I’m sure that it. Or maybe it’s because I eat all the dough. Either way, since I can’t bake a decent cookie to save my life, I usually buy them at my local grocery store. One of my favorites is their brownie cookies. They are so soft, so crumbly and so chocolatey and the inspiration for my brownie cookie milkshake.
Since I work from home, I have the
curse luxury of eating what I want, when I want and as I can tell by the way my pants fit, I’ve been taking advantage of that way too much. I do fairly good until 2:00 or so and then usually about 3:00 it’s time for my afternoon dessert. My go to dessert right now is a brownie cookie and homestyle vanilla ice cream. That works when I’m at home. When I’m running errands or have meetings offsite, portability is key. I mean, I have to have my afternoon ice cream fix. That’s why it only made sense to make a brownie cookie milkshake.
- 2-3 brownie cookies
- 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
- ¼-1/2 cup of skim milk
- ½ cup ice
- Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend well.
- Pour into and chilled glass and enjoy!
I tried to make it as calorie conscious as possible using skim milk and only 2 cookies. 🙂
But I suppose if you wanted, you could use frozen yogurt. Nah, scratch that, vanilla ice cream is the only way to go. Life is short. Have a milkshake.
